Ritter Sport is my favorite candy bar in the whole world. This German brand has too many flavors to count. If you get a chance to sample Ritter Sport, I strongly suggest you give it a taste . . . Unless you absolutely hate chocolate; to that I don’t know what to say. (But if you’re allergic, I understand.)
When I visited the Ritter Sport store in Berlin for my birthday last year, it felt like the mother ship was calling me home. Here are my favorite highlights.

When I turned the corner and saw this sign, I swear I could hear Händel‘s Messiah playing somewhere. 😉

No matter how much I downsize my stuff, I’m keeping my Ritter Sport mug!

This sculpture was also in the Berlin Hoptbanhauf (main train station).

Jazz hands!
Here is the counter where you can design your own Ritter Sport bar. It starts with picking your chocolate (milk or dark), and then selecting your ingredients, such as nuts, dried fruit, or other sweet ingredients. It takes 30 minutes or more to get the finished product; I visit to the cafe upstairs will make the waiting time fly by. I wish I could show you a picture of my bar, but it was gone within a week of our return. My boyfriend still has and it’s driving me crazy.
Channeling Veruca Salt.

Almost forgot . . . BLACK LIVES MATTER!
